Stuart Crawford is eyeing moving Kibris into a "decent handicap" as the Lope De Vega gelding builds his experience over flights.

Kibris was a dual-purpose horse for Joseph O'Brien, for whom he landed a Curragh maiden, and won on stable debut for Crawford in a maiden hurdle at Perth in May before finishing runner-up in a novice hurdle at the same track this month.

Crawford said: "It ended up probably a tactical race that day, and Sean Bowen (on winner Flying Ace) maybe ended up being in the right position and tactically he maybe got it right.

"That horse will be improving away all the time as well, he's only a four-year-old.

"He in and around 117 and he's a horse that will be out again over the summer, he handles that better ground. He could go anywhere, just trying to get a suitable type of race.

"There would be (good pots at Perth over the summer). He would still probably want another run before he goes into a decent handicap, another run in a novice-type race for a wee bit of experience. That would be the way forward with him."

Kibris runs in the 'double green' colours of Simon Munir and Isaac Souede.
