Dundrum Town Centre is delighted to be associated with the Kilbeggan Races Ladies Day. As co-sponsors, along with the Wineport Lodge of The Best Dressed Ladies competition, Dundrum saw the association as a perfect opportunity to reinforce the relationship we have with our customers in the Midlands. Only one hour from Dundrum. Don Nugent, Centre Director said “Dundrum Town Centre recognised that we have a very strong customer base in the Midlands and was delighted to become a partner in such a fashionable event”.

The feature race in the 7 race card is the Gigginstown House Midlands National with a prize of €50,000, which is the second most valuable summer chase after the Galway Plate. Leading trainers like Dessie Hughes and Michael Hourigan have won it on several occasions and it is a very important trial for the Galway Plate. It will draw huge racing crowds and always turns out to be a thrilling chase.

Ladies Day at Kilbeggan has become the social event of the year in the midlands with a full evening of entertainment for all the family including live music, children’s entertainment as well as the glamour of the Best Dressed Lady and the high quality exciting racing. The great poet John Keats said “A thing of beauty is a joy forever” and there is no doubt that this day will bring beauty and joy forever.
