Bandon handler James Dullea got Kings Halo (14/1) back to his best to land the Easyfix Handicap Chase at Cork.

A wide margin winner at Naas just under a year ago, the Fame And Glory gelding struck into himself when down the field at the same venue next time and had had a couple of quiet runs over hurdles since returning to action in the autumn.

Having tracked the leaders, he moved into contention four out and led before two out to beat The Little Yank by three lengths. It was a fourth success on the ten-year-old, and a first winner of 2025, for rider Danny Mullins.

"It is great to get a winner in Cork as it's not easy and is always competitive around here," said Dullea.

"Kings Halo is a great horse for our yard and while he isn't the easiest to train, is a good horse when he is right.

"Danny was excellent on him, he is some master of judging pace and went wider as he felt it was the thing to do. He is a winter horse, so the ground was a worry beforehand but he got away with it.

"I'm delighted and delighted for the syndicate who are with me years. You'd love if he snuck into a Leinster National now as he stays three miles and has operated around Naas."
