King’s Field steps out of maiden company for the first time as he lines up in the Book Your Christmas Party At Dundalk Handicap at Dundalk this evening.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained three-year-old hit the target at the third time of asking at Cork earlier this month and is sure to have plenty of supporters as he turns out again under the handler’s brother, Donnacha.

King’s Field is not the only last-time-out winner in the 13-strong field though, as Fuwairt and Nothing To Lose arrive on the back of triumphs at Cork and Limerick respectively.

O’Brien is well-represented throughout the evening and counts top-weight Eagle Song among three contenders for the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Nursery Handicap.

He was a winner at the track two weeks ago and will be joined by stablemates Vhagar ridden by Donnacha O’Brien, and Commodus (Wayne Lordan). Arthurian Fame is another contender for the O’Brien brothers in the closing Crowne Plaza Race & Stay Handicap while Proud And Elated will team up with 7lb-claimer Shane Crosse in the www.dundalkstadium.com Maiden. Dawn Trouper and Tintoretto are two others to note in that six-furlong heat.

There are two divisions of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Handicap to get stuck into, with Tribal Path leading the weights in the first heat while recent Dundalk winner Ahlan Bil Zain leads the way in the second split.
