Trainer Andrew Kinirons' excellent recent record continued with the gambled success of Yermanthere (morning 7/1, returned 100/30) in Roscommon's Londis Roscommon Handicap today, scoring under jockey Sean Bowen.

Two of Kinirons' three previous runners had won, with the beaten horse finishing third and today Fast Company-sired Yermanthere raced prominently throughout and scored by three lengths from Loingseoir

Delighted Kinirons stated “he loves that ground and he's a really honest horse. We had him for one run previously and we fancied him today.

“The ground is probably the key to him and we'll tip away on soft - Listowel is a lucky track for us and there could be a nice handicap in him. I'm delighted to get the horse back to form and he's a fun horse for us.

“It's great, he's another horse bred by the Brownes (Kilnamoragh Stud), and it's great to have another winner for Ray McSharry. I had a filly for him that won two for us last year - they are great owners and enjoyed that one.

“I am very impressed with Sean (Bowen) who did exactly what we asked. Sean will be getting plenty of rides for us after that, we were very impressed.”

He added “the horses are going great and are really hitting form. They were hit-and-miss early in the season and hopefully we are reaping the benefits of it now.

“We have a lot of nice maidens to come out and looking forward to it. We haven't ran any two-year-olds this year but have a few nice ones to come up. Hopefully we'll have a good end to the year.”
