Knocklayde Vic was the second horse of the day at Fairyhouse to defy top weight when landing a gamble (12/1 – 13/2) for trainer James Lambe and jockey Eddie O’Connell, to win the Follow Us On Facebook Handicap Hurdle (div 1) today.
Afterwards Lambe revealed “Knocklayde Vic is with me only three or four weeks.
“He worked well enough during the week that he should be able to ‘shake a leg’ here although he is probably better going left handed and running over three miles. He just needs to learn to relax a bit more too.”
