Navan Racecourse announced Ladbrokes’ sponsorship of its flagship chases, the Ladbrokes Ireland Grade 2 Fortria Chase on 9th November and the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase on the 23rd of November. Ladbrokes have extended their sponsorship at Navan to include the Grade 2 Ladbrokes Ireland Lismullen Hurdle and the Ladbrokes On Course Ireland Handicap Hurdle. To celebrate the inaugural Ladbrokes Fortria Day, the first 200 paying customers will receive a €5 Ladbrokes Bet to spend in their on course shop.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Navan Racecourse Manager, Peter Killeen said: “It’s fantastic news for Navan that our two big chases are being sponsored by Ladbrokes and I am delighted that they recognise the benefit of sponsoring such prestigious and historic races. It is a wonderful time of the year when all the good jumping horses are starting to re-appear and our track is in great shape. Both races are well placed in the racing calendar and inevitably always produce a jumping star.”

Tony Martin, who won the 2013 Fortria Chase with Flemenstar said: “We have some nice horses entered for Sunday and it will be later in the week when we decide what will run, but both The Fortria and Troytown are two great races that I have won before. It is great that Ladbrokes are getting behind Navan and I hope to be well represented on both days."

Henry De Bromhead will be double-handed in The Fortria Chase and said: "Both Special Tiara and Days Hotel will run. Days Hotel will be having his first start back, but he is in very good form and he will love the likely soft ground."

He added, "Special Tiara has been a bit disappointing but he ran well on soft ground at Sandown earlier this year and he seems to be in good shape so the plan is that both will run."

Colin Bowe’s Little King Robin is entered in the Ladbrokes Ireland Lismullen Hurdle and the trainer said: “She came out of her race very well at Down Royal and initially I felt she wouldn’t run but she is bouncing this morning. If the ground doesn’t deteriorate too much there is a chance that she could run on Sunday. I’ll keep an eye on the weather and that will dictate”.

Ladbrokes PR representative Hayley O’Connor said: "With an honour roll that lists champion chasers such as Moscow Flyer and Big Zeb, we're looking forward to how the Ladbrokes Ireland Fortria Chase unfolds on Sunday and racing fans will be further captivated by a quality supporting card."
