Ladie's takes opener at Naas The opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden caused a surprise when 50/1 shot Ladie’s Choice came home in front for trainer Mattie Tynan. Ben Curtis who took the riding honours was never too far off the pace and hit the front two furlongs from home. The pair kept on well close home to score by a length and a half. Richard Sheehan who was representing the winning trainer said afterwards: “She ran well here over six furlongs but she was fierce unfit.” “Ben [Curtis] said she gave a big blow 100 yards from home but then got her second wind and stayed on, he said she’d plenty left.” “We’ll give her six or seven weeks off now and come back over five or six furlongs on this type of ground, she needs an ease in the ground.”
