Lady has Spring in her step Paul Deegan is expecting to see further progress from Lady Springbank in the Irish 1000 Guineas at the Curragh on May 23. Deegan's filly made a positive start to the campaign by taking the Leopardstown 1000 Guineas Trial Stakes in fine style by a convincing length and a half from Duchess Of Foxland a fortnight ago under Jim Crowley. "She came out of Leopardstown really well and hopefully she will improve a bit," said the County Kildare trainer. "She will go straight for the Irish Guineas now."
