Lambro takes Clonmel finale convincingly

Lambro (4s into 9/4) landed the concluding Killahora (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Clonmel under Patrick Mullins, in the colours of Byerley Thoroughbred Racing, the first horse they've had with Willie Mullins.

Patrick brought the winning Milan gelding to the stand's side in the straight and he got the better of Good Time Donie at the furlong pole. From there he stayed on well to prevail by four and a half lengths.

The winning rider said: "He loved the trip and ground. I probably rode him wrong in Thurles the last day."
