Sky Lantern is the star name among 18 confirmations for the Markel Insurance Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Saturday.

Winner of the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket before a breathtaking display in Royal Ascot's Coronation Stakes, Richard Hannon's filly was narrowly beaten by Elusive Kate in a controversial climax to the Falmouth Stakes earlier this month.

She is now set to test the water over a mile and a quarter for the first time in this all-aged fillies' Group One.

Ralph Beckett has left in his Epsom Oaks one-two Talent and Secret Gesture, but the latter now has something to prove after finishing tailed off in the Irish Oaks.

The well-related and highly-regarded Hot Snap is one of the more intriguing contenders for Lady Cecil. She could possibly make her first appearance since disappointing when favourite for the QIPCO 1000 Guineas.

Roger Varian's Pretty Polly Stakes heroine Ambivalent looks the best of the older brigade, while Just The Judge aims to make it third-time lucky against Sky Lantern.

Aidan O'Brien has Just Pretending and Magical Dream in the mix, with Jim Bolger's Scintillula the only other Irish entrant.
