Liberty Lass marked herself out as a horse to follow when winning at Navan last month and has every chance of following up in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap at Cork on Wednesday.

She reappeared from almost a year off to comfortably land a fillies’ maiden and ought to have plenty of scope off a mark of 71 in her first handicap.

It is worth noting that she was considered good enough to contest a Listed contest on her penultimate start at Dundalk in October last year where she picked up an injury.

The 85-rated Waitingfortheday and lightly-weighted Escallonia appear the dangers. Coral Beach has been expensive to follow but has been placed in seven of her 10 appearances and might make the elusive breakthrough in the Kanturk Median Auction Maiden. Lady Marengo could make no impression on a well-fancied filly when second at this track last week, but could appreciate the step up in trip in the 2019 Annual Membership Available Now Nursery Handicap over an extended mile.

Joseph O’Brien continues to fire in the winners and his King’s Field looks a likely sort for the Mallow Maiden.

The Kodiac colt did not have the clearest of runs at Fairyhouse but stayed on well to come home third of 18 runners.

Dermot Weld ’s Raynama has some decent placed form in the book though, and is worth watching in the market on her first run since September 2017.

O’Brien’s Tuamhain is likely to be on plenty of shortlists for the Book Your Christmas Party At Cork Racecourse Apprentice Handicap after a promising third place at Naas last time out. Fuwairt has been runner-up on his last two starts and is a solid option in the concluding Buy and Save Online Via www.corkracecourse.ie Handicap.
