Late summer return for Mustajeeb Dermot Weld's smart three-year-old Mustajeeb is enjoying a mid-season break before coming back for major targets later in the year, including one on Irish Champions Weekend. Second to War Command in the Futurity Stakes last year, the Nayef colt beat his elders on his return to action in the Amethyst Stakes before finding soft ground against him when third to Kingman in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. He got back on the winning trail when defying a penalty in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot, beating another Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned three-year-old in John Gosden's Muwaary, who had finished fourth in the French Guineas. The owner's racing manager Angus Gold said: "Mustajeeb is on his summer holidays at the minute and is enjoying a break. "We'll be looking for targets later in the year and Dermot mentioned the Group Two at Leopardstown on Irish Champions Weekend (Clipper Logistics Boomerang Stakes). "Muwaary might go back to France, John Gosden has mentioned the Prix Jean Prat so we'll have a look at that."
