Noel Meade reports Layfayette on course for the Martin Molony Stakes at Limerick next Friday.

The veteran won the Listed contest three years ago and has shown that he retains plenty of ability this season.

He was a winner first time up at the Curragh in early April and most recently chased home Carmers in His Majesty’s Plate at Down Royal late last month.

“He’ll go to Limerick next week for the Martin Molony,” said Meade.

“It was great to see him running a good race last time at Down Royal.

“We have to play around with him a little bit, he might not be just quite as good as he was but he’s still running well and he’s a great old stalwart.”
