Le Coudray run depends on rain. Trainer Christy Roche has issued a warning that his Le Coudray may not contest the Irish Grand National on Easter Monday if the ground is too fast. The JP McManus owned gelding is due to carry top weight in the Irish Grand National, having recovered from a fall at Becher´s Brook on the second circuit at Aintree last week. However, Roche stated 'the plan is to run Le Coudray with his top weight. We´ll canter him again in the morning and see how he is, but we´d be a little concerned at the moment that there is no rain.'Regarding the current state of the ground conditions at Fairyhouse, manager Dick Sheil reported 'the ground is now yielding. There is rain forecast tonight and tomorrow, so if it materialises I would expect the going to change back to soft in due course.'
