Ms Eagleton got to grips with True Artist in the final furlong of the Eamon Sheridan Groundworks Maiden at Ballinrobe to seal a double for Billy Lee.

Colin Keane set his stall out early on True Artist as he soon worked him into the lead from a wide draw.

Hilary McLoughlin 's Ms Eagleton tracked throughout and chased him down entering the straight. The 6/4 favourite got his measure at the furlong marker and was driven out by Lee to win by a length and a half. The runner-up was a 3/1 shot and came in two and a half lengths clear of Cristal Clere (11/2).

Lee said: "She jumped a lot sharper today which was a big help. At Listowel I just thought that everything was happening two strides too quick for her and I never got a good position. Today, she jumped smart and I’d a lovely position on her. I got a good tow all the way into the straight and she’s won nicely.

"She’d get a mile and a quarter but beyond that I’m not too sure. It’s great for Hilary and Martin (Ferris) and their horses have been in good form all year."

Jockeys' championship leader Lee was also on board Paddy Twomey's Kirati Beach (85/40) in race two. He is now on 41 winners for the campaign.
