Lee grabs treble through Billie Frechette Billy Lee fired in a sparkling treble at Down Royal courtesy of strong-travelling Billie Frechette in the Mount Charles Handicap over an extended 1m4f. The 3/1 shot was swinging away over a quarter of a mile from home and worked her way to the front a furlong and a-half down. She kept on well to readily score by two lengths from the 11/8 favourite Arcland who put in good late work. Jarvis Brook (13/2) was a head away in third. Noel Meade said: "She travelled really well. "I always thought she was capable of being better than she was, so I suppose that is a little bit more like it. "She has been consistent, she had one bad run in Navan, but other than that she is running consistently. "She stays further and she jumps, she has won twice on the level. "Hopefully, she will win again. "Billy was always travelling well and it was easy for her then because he was always travelling so well. She got into a great rhythm and he said she travelled into it really easily." Lee's other winners came on Letiza (6/5f) for Henry de Bromhead and Royal Entry (9/4) for Paddy Twomey in the Ulster Oaks.
