Lena wins on first start over hurdles Tramore's Frank King Memorial Maiden Hurdle over two miles, five furlongs was won by 5/6 favourite Lady Lena. Having her first start since being beaten at 1/3 in a Wexfrod bumper in October, she tracked the front-running Something Fabulous and headed that one approaching two out. From there, she needed only a hand ride from Brian Hayes to win by two and a quarter lengths from Market Ready.  Patrick Mullins, representing winning trainer Willie Mullins, explained "We have her leased from Jamie Codd and she is probably the smallest in the yard, but we took a chance with her as she is by Flemensfirth and they're not making any more of them. "She is tough and hardy, and I think the lighter weight is a big help to her, compared to her bumper runs. She travelled strongly, jumped well and you could even go up further in trip.  "She has plenty of ability, we could end up in Listowel and hopefully she will win again. "Aubrey McMahon does a great job running Temple Bloodstock and they're having a lot of success. He buys some of their horses, leases others and I couldn't recommend Aubrey highly enough, as he works hard and is very likeable." Additional reporting by Tom Weekes
