Leopardstown gear up for Hennessy Officials at Leopardstown today described track conditions as ‘yielding to soft’ ahead of the Hennessy Gold Cup card this Sunday, which features four Grade 1 races. Willie Mullins confirmed last night that he intends to run all seven of his Grade 1 entries including Cooldine and Kempes in the Hennessy Gold Cup, Cattrelsbooley, So Young and Zaidpour in the Deloitte Novice Hurdle and Mikael D'Haguenet and Quel Esprit in the Dr. P. J. Moriarty Novice Chase. Paul Nicholls will have two runners including current Hennessy favorite Pride of Dulcote and Indian Daudaie who will line up in the Grade 1 Spring Juvenile Hurdle. The Listener, a Leopardstown specialist, pleased connections following his come back run in the Lexus Chase at Christmas and they are looking forward to taking his place in Sunday’s feature. Recent winners at Leopardstown since Christmas including Sailors Warn, Hidden Universe, The Bull Hayes, Bostons Angel and Magnanimity all return for what is shaping up to be one of the best days racing this season.
