David Marnane's Letmeentertainyou showed a good turn to foot when springing a 25/1 surprise in the MAC Hardware Irish EBF Rated Race over a mile in Listowel.

He was very easy to back in drifting out from an opening show of 12/1 and looked under pressure in third a furlong and a half down. He soon found his stride, though, and moved into second before charging past Banks Of The Boyne outside the final furlong.

The Ebro River colt strode on for Nathan Crosse to put a length and three-quarter on runner-up Romance (13/2).

This was his fourth start, and a step up in trip, with a best previous finish of fourth in an auction series maiden at Leopardstown in August.

Assistant trainer Danny O'Connell Jr. said: "He didn't do things right in Down Royal the last day, but got a bit of nicer ground today which suited. He was tough and is progressing.

"Con, Amy and Olivia (Marnane, owners) are hoping to sell him now."
