Levey sidelined with broken collarbone Classic-winning jockey Sean Levey faces a spell on the sidelines after breaking his collarbone following a fall at Salisbury on Wednesday. The 30-year-old, who won this year’s 1000 Guineas on Billesdon Brook, sustained the injury after he was unseated mid-race from the Richard Hannon-trained Sirinapha in a six-furlong novice auction stakes. Levey’s agent Sash Righton said: “I spoke to him a couple of times yesterday at hospital. I’m not sure of too many details about it but it’s definitely a broken collarbone. “He will be out for a little while. I would say it will be five or six weeks he is out for, maybe less depending on how badly it is broken. “It is not great timing to get an injury like that as it has been a great season for Sean so far. “It could have been a lot worse. I’m just glad it is not more serious.”
