Liane to reappear at Leopardstown River Liane is set to reappear in the Bord Na Mona-sponsored Novice Chase at Leopardstown on St Stephens Day after being forced to miss an intended engagement at Fairyhouse last month. The five-year-old, who made a winning debut over fences at Naas in October, is now over the slight setback that ruled him out of the Drinmore Novice Chase and on course to step up to Grade 1 level at the Foxrock venue. "We're very happy with him again now, and he'll run in the novice chase at Leopardstown," said trainer Tom Cooper. "He had a little setback before Fairyhouse so he couldn't go for the Drinmore. It was nothing major, but it's all systems go for Leopardstown." The 2m1f Leopardstown feature is shaping up to be something special with the likes of Sizing Europe, Sports Line and Captain Cee Bee all intended runners.
