Lido looks another for Mullins Runaway Cork winner Valseur Lido aims to make it two from two over obstacles in the Christmas Novice Hurdle at Navan on Saturday. A bumper winner in France before being snapped up by champion trainer Willie Mullins and leading owners Gigginstown House Stud, the four-year-old made a huge impression when scoring by 13 lengths on his Irish debut last month, one of seven winners on the day for the County Carlow maestro. He is likely to be long odds-on to strike again this weekend. Mullins said: "He made a good impression on his first start for us in Cork and although he'll face different conditions and is going the other way round on Saturday, I think he's well up to taking that in his stride. "With a good round of jumping, I hope this is a good opportunity for him to further his career." Later in the afternoon Mullins unleashes another potentially smart French recruit in Don Poli, who carries the Gigginstown silks in the two-and-a-half-mile Slane Maiden Hurdle. Having finished second in deep ground at Auteuil in the spring, Mullins expects his charge to appreciate what is likely to be a serious test of stamina this weekend. "This is a tough two and a half miles, which I think will suit this horse down to the ground," said Mullins. "He is a good jumper, so we're looking forward to seeing how he goes on a track and over a distance that will suit."
