Likewhatyousee scores for Farrell and Cleary Likewhatyousee (7/1) improved a placing on a recent runner-up effort to score on her fifth attempt today, winning the Curragh’s Bill Hanlon Memorial Fillies Maiden for owner/trainer Cormac Farrell and jockey Rory Cleary. The 67-rated daughter of Street Sense had finished second at Bellewstown on an earlier start on October 1 and today progressed to defeat 73-rated Eroico by three-parts of a length. Farrell reported “it’s a big credit to all the lads at home. It’s always a team effort and we have fantastic riders and ground staff. You wouldn’t do it without them as I’m away at the sales a lot. “I’m delighted for everybody at home. This filly is actually going to the sales next week so that was nice. She’s going to progress into a lovely filly next year and hopefully with a new owner. That’s really all I do, is sell them. It’s unusual that I even have a three-year-old racing. “I’m delighted with her. I thought she was in good form but I was a little bit worried about the ground. She’s very fit as she’s been galloping with some of the jumpers, leading a few of the bumper horses. She’s been doing plenty of nice steady work. “She’s a lovely filly for the future. I think when she gets fast ground she’ll improve an awful lot.” Quotes from Gary Carson
