Listowel now a 5-day NH Festival Listowel Racecourse will be celebrating its 150th Anniversary Festival Meeting next week and will now run for five days (rather than seven) due to the inclement weather. The 5-day Festival will start on Tuesday 16th September and will run to Saturday 20th September and will be all National Hunt racing. To mark the Anniversary, there will be a Free Draw in the Racecard on each of the five days with very generous Holiday Vouchers of ?1,500 being given away each day, as well as the very popular Free Cash Prize Draw, each day. This year, again to mark Listowel's Anniversary of 150 years racing, there will be a prize of a Free Honda Civic, this competition will be in conjunction with TOTE Ireland and the car is guaranteed to be won at the end of the five days. All the usual popular Listowel facilities will be on offer over the Festival, with a Big Screen in operation each day and an on-course Betting Shop run by Ladbrokes, also in place for the punters who like to bet on English racing etc. This year again, the full five days of the meeting are being covered by TG4, starting on the Tuesday up until Saturday, the TG4 crew will bring their own mix of fun and betting tips to those who may take a day off and enjoy Listowel from the comfort of their armchair.
