Little Queenie secures a seventh success Six-year-old mare Little Queenie (15/2) notched a seventh career success in Navan’s Racing Festival Early Bird Tickets On Sale Now Handicap today, scoring for trainer Paul Flynn and jockey Robert Whearty. Previously successful last August, the Michael J Connolly-owned 89-rated grey today raced prominently throughout and scored by a half-length from Nezeeh . It was Galway Hurdle-winning trainer Flynn’s fourth win this month and he said “she was good, although I wasn't as confident with the going-change. She goes on the (easier) ground but it just blunts her speed a little bit. "She was unlucky not to win here earlier in the year, she drifted across and I think Robert got a few days (suspension). Robert’s 3lb claim and racing along the stands’ side helped, as I think the ground is quicker there. "There's another race here over five furlongs next week, but she could go to Dundalk as well. “The lads would love to try a black-type race and if we do, it will be a Listed in Dundalk. The lads probably would travel to the UK for black-type races and we had thought about doing it, but I think their sprinters are even better than ours. We looked at a few races but it probably wasn't worth the fare over. "She will probably go in foal next year." Quotes from Michael Graham
