Load to move up in trip

Henry de Bromhead is considering stepping Loosen My Load up significantly in trip after the gelding was readily outpaced behind the impressive Ghizao in the two miles Independent Newspaper Novices' Chase at Cheltenham on Sunday.

The six-year-old made a winning debut over fences in a 2m4f beginners race at Punchestown in May but has been running over shorter distances since.

“We were pleased with Loosen My Load's run as he gave 6lb to the first two and the objective was to learn more about him,” said de Bromhead on his website www.henrydebromheadracing.com.

“We now feel he needs more of a trip and as such we'll have a look at stepping him up with the Feltham at Kempton being one option to consider if Sizing Europe was to make the journey over for the King George.”

The Waterford trainer also reports Cross Country specialist Sizing Australia in good form after a gallant third to Lacdoudal at Cheltenham's Open Meeting.

“Sizing Australia ran his heart out over the cross country fences, we were delighted with him. The Silver Cup Cross Country Steeplechase Challenge Series could be an option for him in the long term future, but next on the agenda is a return to Cheltenham in December.”
