Having been victorious earlier on the card, Gavin Cromwell and Robert Whearty brought up doubles as the admirable Londonofficecallin won the Fairyhouse Winter Festival 29th & 30th November Rated Race.

An eight-time winner prior to this afternoon, the grey had been successful on four occasions over hurdles, as well as four times on the Flat.

Chasing leader Rock Of Ireland from the start here, the versatile eight-year-old took over at the head of affairs over three furlongs from home.

Asserting entering the straight, he merely had to be kept up to his work inside the last two furlongs to run out a comfortable five-length winner over Not Just Any Eagle

Gavin Cromwell said: “That’s his ninth win and he hasn’t jumped a fence yet!

“When you’re in front like that there is always the risk of idling, so you have to keep the pressure on. He’s in the hands of the handicapper now.

“He’s a great fun horse and there are loads of options, but he might go for the 2m6f handicap hurdle on the Saturday at Galway.”
