Longchamp next up for Guineas fav Kingman Trainer John Gosden said the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere at Longchamp was "the next logical step" for Kingman. The Invincible Spirit colt bolstered his position at the head of the market for next year's 2000 Guineas with a no-nonsense victory in the Group Three Solario Stakes at Sandown on Saturday. Next up for the unbeaten Kingman is a trip to France on October 6th for the Group One Lagardere over seven furlongs. "The Lagardere is the next logical step," Gosden told The Daily Telegraph. "I know that race and the Dewhurst are much closer these days, but it would still be a big gap if we waited for the Dewhurst. "I was very satisfied with his run. At home, he is not the type we are sending clear in his work. It was another stepping stone."
