Los Angeles on road back to ParisLongchamp Aidan O'Brien's Los Angeles returns to action in the Group 3 Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh today after a summer break since Royal Ascot and stable representative Chris Armstrong has mapped out his potential route back to the Prix de l´Arc de Triomphe, a race that he finished third in last year. The four-year-old colt began this campaign with victories in a Group 2 at the Curragh and in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup also at headquarters, before finishing fifth in the Group 1 Prince Of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot. Armstrong said: "He had a little break and he's coming back now to be aimed obviously for the autumn. "Touch wood the ground doesn't dry out too much overnight, I think they are putting 5mm on today (Friday) and see how it is in the morning. The ground is obviously important for his first run back after a break. "Hopefully, he'll come through this run nicely. He'll improve a lot fitness wise and then we have the option of going to the Irish Champion (Stakes) again or go the week before to the Arc Trial in France. Then hopefully end up in France (in the Arc). "He's a fine, imposing, big, strong Camelot colt and always runs a very good race. "He's one we are really looking forward to for the autumn. "If he wins tomorrow (Saturday), well and good, but there will be plenty of improvement in him."
