Miss Louise surged clear inside the final furlong to claim the Killowen Contracts Handicap at Dundalk.

Dot Love 's charge was driven into contention over a furlong from home by Killian Leonard and got to the front inside the final 200 yards from Sharjah

The 20/1 shot asserted in the closing stages to record a three-and-a-quarter length victory.

The daughter of Footstepsinthesand was opening her account at the tenth attempt. She had finished mid-division on her last visit to the course in December.

Leonard said afterwards:- “She saw that trip out well and wants a good honest gallop. Things fell right for her there and I think there is another day in her given the same conditions.

“I think she’d be even better again on grass. She hits in fairly hard for a small little filly and a bit of an ease in the ground would suit her.”
