Bambino Fever’s bumper-jockey Jody Townend was on the mark for champion trainer Willie Mullins at Tramore today, steering impressive newcomer Love Me Tender (1/2f) to land the concluding QuinnBet Ladies NH Bumper.

Townend never left Love Me Tender go until the closing stages of today’s two-miles race, with the pair skipping clear for an easy win over Palpatate

Having won the Cheltenham and Punchestown festival bumpers in recent months, it was Townend’s third success from five rides this season and afterwards said “I had actually ridden him a good bit at home, he is very straightforward, and if anything, he can be a bit on the lazy side at home. He did that well today.

“I knew I was away with it coming down the hill and he was very impressive. I know he probably didn't beat much but he couldn't do much more than that."
