Luisant bids to repel Inxile Luisant leads the home guard tomorrow as raider Inxile bids to follow up on his impressive Naas victory in the Listed Cork Stakes. James Nash is hoping his charge can prove a sterner test for the English horse after his demolition job in the Woodlands Stakes last week. Luisant has proved a wonderful servant for the Curragh trainer and will be bidding for his third Listed success in the six-furlong contest. “He's in great form and even though Inxile was very impressive at Naas hopefully we'll give him a lot more to think about tomorrow,” said Nash “We're hoping to give him a bigger challenge and I'm very very happy with him. I'm hoping the ground is no quicker than good so fingers crossed. “We'll see how tomorrow goes but I have him in both the (6f) Greenlands Stakes and the Ballycorus at Leopardstown over seven furlongs. “It's hard to know but six looks his trip. Even though he won a Listed race over seven he seems better over six. “He's very versatile though and was only beaten a short in a Listed race over five and was also second to Sole Power at Dundalk giving him 12lb. “Hopefully he has a good chance tomorrow. The season is really ground dependant for him as he doesn't let himself down on quick ground.” Gary Carson
