Lynch hoping to return next weekend Fergal Lynch hopes to return to the saddle at the Curragh next weekend, after breaking his collarbone at Limerick last month. He was riding the David Nagle trained Beat The Bell when the gelding was brought down by Silldora who had slipped up. Lynch, who has missed plenty of winners in the in term, said yesterday afternoon: “The injury is seventy percent healed and it just a bit frustrating but I’m taking it day by day. "I plan on riding out soon for Johnny (Murtagh), David (Marnane) and Michael (O’Callaghan) and hopefully I’ll be back for Oaks weekend (next weekend) and get a few rides under my belt. "Elleval (Lynch is his regular partner) runs the following Thursday at Leopardstown and all going well he will then go to America for the Secretariat Stakes where I’ll be riding him."
