Andrew Lynch makes a welcome return to the saddle at Gowran Park tomorrow following over four months on the sidelines with a broken leg.

The Meathman fractured his right femur when taking a fall from the Peter Casey-trained Flemingo Domingo at Cork back on May 25.

His return is certainly timely with former Queen Mother Champion Chase hero Sizing Europe due to make his seasonal debut in the Grade 2 PWC Champion Chase at Gowran on Saturday.

Lynch teams up with the Henry de Bromhead-trained pair Sizing Rio and Absolutlyfantastic tomorrow.

"I've been out for 19 weeks, so I'm glad to be back and looking forward to a good year, I hope," said Lynch.

"I've been riding down at Henry's for the last couple of weeks. The horses seem to be in good form and hopefully I've got some nice horses to look forward to.

"I saw the doctor the other day and he was happy with my leg and I'm just happy to be back."

Another rider returning to action at Gowran is Bryan Cooper, although he's only been sidelined for 11 days with a shoulder injury suffered at Ballinrobe last week.
