Lynch waiting for some good news

Andrew Lynch is hopeful that a visit to hospital next Tuesday will provide him with some positive news as he bids to regain full fitness following his fall from Fearless Falcon at Fairyhouse on April 26th.

Lynch broke his upper right arm and left wrist in that spill at the second last hurdle and he was left pretty debilitated with a sling on one arm and a plaster on the other. However he said: "It could have been worse and if there was a good time for it to happen that was it."

Sizing Europe's jockey explained: "I'll know a lot more after Tuesday but I've been doing plenty of gym work and swimming and the arm seems to be coming along. I've got plenty of movement and it probably just needs to strengthen a little more.

"I'm not sure to be honest when I'll be back but I'd be hoping to be back for Galway."
