Ger Lyons bagged a quick double at Leopardstown tonight when How’sthebai claimed the Boyle Sports Handicap over nine furlongs.

Colin Keane was soon in front on the Bated Breath gelding, who went to post 5/2 favourite.

He asked his mount for an effort a furlong-and-a-half from home and the chestnut was always in control from there as he went on to win by a length-and-three-quarters from Monvoe

The winner had been fourth to the progressive Bobby McGee on his return at Naas in late April.

"That was grand. The only question mark was the ground,” said Lyons.

“He’s a lovely horse; I love him. He's a lovely big honest horse. I've been very lucky with the sire, Bated Breath.

“As Colin said, the form of his last race was there with winners all around him. So we knew we had him in the right race, but we were worried about the ground. He got through it."
