Following on from Bobby Boy and Flat To The Max, Future Proof is another three-year-old to get the job done at the first time of asking in 2018 for Ger Lyons, the well-touted son of Dream Ahead landing the Leopardstown 'Summer Bundle' Maiden.

Like with his aforementioned stable companions, Colin Keane was in the plate, and he donned the silks of Lyons' wife Lynne on Future Proof.

She owns this fellow along with Horse Park Stud's John Cullinan, and after being punted down from much bigger prices earlier he went off the 5/2 second favourite.

Market-leader Conclusion (eventually 4th) was shaping well from the front early in the straight, and whilst Comeragh Haze (2nd) finished off well, Future Proof was a good length and a quarter victor at the line.

"That was grand, it was a nice workmanlike performance," said Lyons.

"He shouted the house down in the parade ring but Colin said once he got on him and cantered him to the start he manned up and there wasn't a word out of him.

"He said he was in early in the stalls and stood like a lamb. Colin said the ground is heavy but loose and they are going through it.

"He said that you couldn't be more impressed with how he did it and there should be plenty of improvement in him.

"We don't know how deep theses maidens are at the minute but our horses are fit and well.

"I've loads of horses that will win their maidens but what they do after that time will tell. Some will hopefully progress and some won't. Fingers crossed."
