MARGAY LOOKS TO GERMANY

Margay will bid for an Irish success in the German version of the 1000 Guineas, at Dusseldorf on Sunday.

The Michael Grassick trained daughter of Marju, who finished third behind the highly regarded Amethyst at Leopardstown last month, is one of three foreign entries in the 15-runner field.

Crimplene, Clive Brittain's well-travelled filly, is set to make a quick reappearance after finishing third in the Italian equivalent, the Premio Regina Elena, in Rome last Sunday. Philip Robinson takes the ride.

Placed in the Cheveley Park Stakes and the Dubai Duty Free Fred Darling Stakes, Crimplene was also sixth in the UAE Derby in Dubai in March.

The Mick Channon-trained Areydha is the other British runner in the race and will be ridden by Steven Drowne.

The daughter of Cadeaux Genereux was among the five-day declarations for Sunday's Sagitta 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.
