MIX UP TO YORKSHIRE

Bitofamixup, who missed an engagement when today's meeting at Wincanton was abandoned, has been rerouted to the Pertemps Great Yorkshire Chase at Doncaster on Saturday.

The nine-year-old's trainer Michael Roberts said: "I'll declare him for Doncaster in the morning and I've just booked Rupert Wakley. Tony McCoy was due to ride him today but he has to go to Cheltenham on Saturday. I'm sure Rupert will be able to do as well."

But Roberts warned: "Bitofamixup won't run if it rained and got too soft - he wants good ground or faster."

Bitofamixup finished second on his reappearance at Fontwell two weeks ago on ground softer than ideal and the Hailsham trainer added: "In the circumstances he ran very well at Fontwell and will come on for the run."

The gelding faces a long day on Saturday as Roberts explained: "We've got runners at Folkestone tomorrow so he'll have to go up on Saturday - it'll be a crack-of-dawn start.

"But, fingers crossed, he'll go well at Doncaster off his handy weight."

Bitofamixup is a best-priced 20-1 with the Tote for the Great Yorkshire Chase.
