Maarek back for more Last year's winner Maarek is among 18 six-day acceptors for the QIPCO Champions Sprint at Ascot on Saturday. The six-year-old will arrive in Berkshire at the top of his game after winning the Prix de l'Abbaye at Longchamp last time. Edward Lynam has his two star sprinters in contention with both Slade Power and Sole Power in the mix, while he has third and fourth strings to his bow in the shape of Balmont Mast and the three-year-old Viztoria. Aidan O'Brien's Cristoforo Colombo and Richard Fahey's Heavens Guest also represent the Classic generation. Jim Goldie could be double-handed with Jack Dexter and Hawkeyethenoo, while old rivals Rex Imperator and Sirius Prospect could do battle once again. Cape Of Approval, Excellent Guest, Hoof It, Humidor, Mass Rally, Racy and Soul complete the acceptors.
