Maarek third as Mobsta wins Mobsta made the most of his stands-side draw to claim Listed honours in the Betway Cammidge Trophy at Doncaster. Silvestre de Sousa had Mick Channon's four-year-old off the pace which was set by Shared Equity and Marsh Hawk. There were plenty in with chances as the race hotted up inside the final quarter of a mile until Mobsta (8-1) set sail for home on the rail to beat Suedois by a length, with Irish challenger Maarek (13/2) third. De Sousa said: "The ground suited him and he travelled well. "I couldn't get behind anything so I stuck near the rail. "At one point I thought I got there too soon, but he kept digging deep for me." Channon's son Jack said: "It's a good start to the season. He's a lovely horse and this is what we had in mind for him for quite a while. "He's a well-made horse and it's taken him a bit of time. He's the full package now and hopefully that's a stepping stone for something better. "There'll be a few of those nice sprint races for him. He goes on any ground. We'll have lots of options."
