Pat Flynn and Robyn Donaghue-Leahy combined to win the Panoramic Restaurant At Limerick Racecourse Apprentice Handicap with Magna Gee Gee this evening.

The Ger O'Neill-owned 11/2 chance was making a quick reappearance having finished third at Tramore on Tuesday night.

Again, he raced up with the pace, and went to the front passing the two-furlong pole before bravely holding the challenge of the Cian Hughes-trained 4/1 favourite Without Love by a head.

It was a 19th career success for the Cork apprentice who said: “He deserved that. It set up well for him. I was probably in front too soon but I had to go when I did.

“He's very tough. Tramore probably wasn't the best track for him the last day but I suppose when they get in, you have to go. He comes out of his races very well and he was like a fresh horse today.

“In fairness, when I could feel the horses behind me coming, he was going again. As long as nothing flashed past me, he'd outbattle them. He has plenty of pace - you could probably go back for a mile or a-mile-and-a-quarter with him. I suppose over the mile-and-a-half you get to fill him up a little bit and, all he does is stay going.”
