Maguire upbeat on Overturn

Jockey Jason Maguire reports Overturn to be bouncing ahead of the williamhill.com Christmas Hurdle at Kempton on Saturday.

Donald McCain's smart dual-purpose performer has not been seen since trailing home last in the totesport Ebor just three weeks after his all-the-way win in the Guinness Galway Hurdle.

"We are expecting a good run. I rode him a bit of work last week and he was absolutely bouncing. He seems to have improved. He did all his winning on decent ground last summer, but he has got form on softer ground, so we'll find out on Saturday," Maguire told At The Races.

"Obviously he was very impressive in Galway, he made every yard and looked like he stayed every yard that day

"Some people questioned the summer form to the winter form, but he's going to Kempton and stepping up. You'd like to think he'd get his own way in front as there are a lot of hold-up horses in it."
