The Joseph O'Brien-trained Mai Dahlia was an impressive five-length winner of the Naas Racecourse Fillies' Maiden.

The daughter of Too Darn Hot was sent off the 10/11 favourite and was given a confident ride by jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle to give the trainer a double on the day.

Speaking after the race, trainer Joseph O'Brien said: "She won well. She had a lovely debut here. We were a bit disappointed after Fairyhouse the last day, but we felt like she was training well coming here. I'm delighted to have a nice winner for Ahmed (Aldubaili) - he bred the filly.

"Where she goes next,we'll see, but hopefully she'll eventually end up in a black type race. She is still a work in progress and has a nice pedigree too."
