Major gamble on Glenbarrow The Dessie Hughes-trained Glenbarrow is the subject of a major gamble at Cork this afternoon, with the lightly-raced gelding slashed from 20/1 down to as low as 4/1 for the two miles CIT SU Handicap Hurdle (4.15). The eight-year-old son of Old Vic scored on his debut in a Limerick maiden back in 2008 and, following just two further runs, was off the course for well over three years before showing little on his reappearance last month. Glenbarrow was pulled up before three out in the two and a half miles handicap won by Up For The Match at Gowran Park. Big improvement is obviously expected today!
