Onlymammycanloveme held the effort of St Cuthbert’s Cave to land the spoils in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle for Seamus Neville.

In-form pilot Tiernan Power Roche did the steering on the 9/4 favourite and produced him to take a narrow lead going to the second last.

The Vendangeur gelding had a length advantage from St Cuthbert’s Cave over the final flight and held that rival at bay in the closing stages to score by a neck.

Onlymammycanloveme was switching back to hurdles having finished third in a bumper at Fairyhouse last time.

"He won his point to point first time out which swung us in his direction and he landed to me as a named horse. Once he wins, I don't mind his name and it might  have helped us in buying him!” said Neville.

"He is a fine big horse and his future is over fences. He is immature still, needs give in the ground and a further trip will also suit.

“I'm happy out with him and it is early enough in the season so he'll run away for another while."
