Mann to run Man at Cheltenham

English trainer Charlie Mann hopes to run Somemanforoneman at Cheltenham next week - but it may not be in the big race.

He said today: 'The weights are going to go up in the Tripleprint Gold Cup and it depends what other horses are in it.

'Somemanforoneman will be put in the George Stevens Chase as well and he`ll also be entered at Haydock in the Tommy Whittle Chase.

'We`ll have a look at all three races and see what they are like but there`s every chance he will run in the Tripleprint and he worked well on Wednesday.'

He has 9st 8lb in the Tripleprint so a 10lb rise would suit him.

Mann added: 'He`s a young horse with a fair bit to prove. He needs soft ground and that`s why he`s only run once this season.'

The horse was unplaced behind Banker Count - a Tripleprint Gold Cup possible - at Wetherby last month.

'His trip depends what the ground is like - he`s good over three miles and he`s good over two and a half miles,' said Mann.
