Mansony Set For Durkan Test

Mansony is likely to kick off his campaign in the John Durkan Memorial Chase at Punchestown on December 9.

Arthur Moore's talented eight-year-old signed off last season with a smooth Grade One success in the two-mile Kerrygold Champion Chase in April.

And despite being entered in Thursday's Clonmel Oil Chase, connections are expecting to keep Mansony under wraps until the ground eases.

With regard to Thursday's Grade Two, Moore said: 'I don't think he'll run as it doesn't look like the ground is going to be suitable for him.

'We'll just have to wait for the rain, it's just the way it is.

'We were very happy last year and he's in good form so we're looking forward to the season ahead with him.

'It looks like we'll probably start him off in the John Durkan now.'
