Manton seeking Listed glory before sales date David Marnane is hoping Manton Bay can put himself in the shop window at Cork this afternoon. The Ulysses gelding lines up in the Listed Navigation Stakes at the Mallow venue on what could be his final start for the yard. He comes into the race off the back of a slightly unlucky run at the Irish Champions Festival, when fifth in the Northfields Handicap at the Curragh 16 days ago. "It just didn't happen in the Northfields, but he finished well. He just ran into all sorts of trouble - he missed the break and then he got into trouble,” said Marnane. "It was a huge performance what he did as a three-year-old, to be fair, over a mile-and-a-quarter. "He's a very talented horse and he's in the Horses In Training Sale. There's been a few offers for him, so we'll see. I'd say this will probably be his last run for us."
